Dr. Stuart Sherrell
I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I received my Bachelor of Zoology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University.
I moved to Arizona in 1985, and joined Arrow Animal Hospital & Grooming in 1986. We evolved from a 3 veterinarian single practice to a group
of 21 hospitals and continuing to grow. I am very proud to be a part of this great organization and feel privileged to work with the people I get to
work with each day.
My wife, Stacie and I live in Phoenix with two boys, Josh and Toby. My oldest son Aaron is just about to finish law school at ASU. We have 6 pets, Larry, Martini, Hope, Tibbles, Pinksis-Pinksis, and Drool Baby. When I am not at work, I like to spend time with my family and pets at home and get out on my bike and hike as much as possible.

It has been my pleasure to be part of the Arrow family, and I enjoy working with our amazing clients and their pets. While I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, I particularly enjoy surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine.

I was born and raised in Alaska. I received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. I joined AZPetVet in 2006, working at one of our sister hospitals before joining Arrow Animal Hospital and Grooming in 2008. I became a partner in 2012. My interests include surgery, emergency medicine, dentistry, and grief counseling.
A semester in Australia thoroughly thawed me out and made me forever appreciative of sandy beaches and cheerful Aussies. Moving to Arizona is the fulfillment of a childhood dream to live near the cacti and grandma and grandpa. I share my home with five dogs: Pharoah, Ramsey, Sasha, Sidney, and Skittles. I, their adoring owner, enjoy playing with them, watching movies, hiking, camping, and driving. I thoroughly enjoy working with the dynamic staff, amazing doctors, and wonderful clients here at Arrow Animal Hospital and Grooming.
Dr. Erica Jenkins

I returned to Arizona to re-join Arrow Animal Hospital in 2007 and became a partner in 2012. My interests include, but are not limited to, dermatology, behavior, and surgery.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. In my free time, I travel and scrapbook. My husband Josh and I share our home with our wonderful dogs, Sam and Maynard. I am so happy to be back with my Arrow family, where I started, and I look forward to getting to know you and your pets.

I was born in Buffalo, New York, and grew up in California! In 1996, I moved to Arizona in order to study Agribusiness at Arizona State, graduating in 1998.
While studying at ASU, I began volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society and a local emergency animal clinic. In 1997, I became a Veterinary Nurse
at the emergency clinic. In 1998, I started working as a Vet Tech at AZPetVet Bell Ridge Animal Hospital. It was my first experience in the AZPetVet
family – but not my last! In 2000, I went back to school to study Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University and received my Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine in 2004.
Today, I am proud to be a part of the AZPetVet family again. My special interests in the Vet field include Dentistry, Dermatology and Ophthalmology, and surgeries.

Dr. Hannah Armstrong
I was born and raised in Muscatine, Iowa. I did both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees at Iowa State University, graduating in 2017 and I have been
practicing at Arrow Animal Hospital for over two years now! My husband and I moved out to Arizona shortly following my graduation.
The areas of veterinary medicine that interest me the most right now are Soft Tissue Surgery, Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology. AZPetVet is the perfect place for me because we have such a culture of learning and mentorship. I love consulting with my colleagues on challenging cases and having a range of backgrounds to learn from.
I live with my husband Brett, and we have an enormous 7-year-old mastiff mix named Cujo. We also are foster failures to a 2-year-old orange kitty named Dart. My hobbies include hiking the Arizona trails and all things outdoors.
Dr. Ken Prejs
I grew up in Scottsdale and graduated from Coronado High School. I earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Zoology from Arizona State
University. I went on and received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University. I have practiced veterinary medicine in
the Phoenix area for over 30 years.
While my primary focus is canine and feline medicine, I have a special interest in exotic animal medicine, including pocket pets, rabbits, birds, and reptiles. I believe all pets should have access to good health care and have earned over 250 hours of continuing education in exotic animal medicine. While in veterinary school, I was a Student Coordinator for the Raptor Rehabilitation Program, Colorado Division of Wildlife, and worked as a volunteer animal keeper at the Phoenix Zoo during the summers.
I am married to Dr. Susan Goshert, and we have 2 adult children. Our pets include 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 Amazon parrots, and a desert tortoise. I spend my spare time practicing yoga, hiking, traveling, and learning new music from my children.
Dr. Schuyler Burns
I was born in Glendale, AZ, but moved to Tuscon when I was 9 years old. Shortly before moving, my family adopted my childhood dog and best friend, Bear, which is when my passion for animals began. As I got older, I realized how critical and rewarding proper animal health-care was for my dog, so I wanted a career where I could help deliver this same care to other pets. I began by attending The University of Arizona for my BS in Veterinary Sciences. While in school, I worked in two research facilities, where I practiced husbandry with many animals, including monkeys! I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, and joined Arrow Animal Hospital & Grooming in March 2019. As for my veterinary interests, I enjoy surgery (specifically orthopedic) and internal medicine cases.
I live with my Australian Shepard, Duke, and his (Golden Retriever) baby brother, Oliver. When I’m outside of work, I love mountain biking, hiking, and fishing - plus going to the trap and skeet range from time to time. I look forward to providing your pets with the best quality health-care they deserve!
Dr. Shanah Frankel
Although I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, I spent most of my summers and school breaks in Phoenix! I attended The Ohio State University for both my undergraduate and veterinary medicine degrees. (Fun fact: I’m the third Dr. Frankel that has graduated from OSU!) Throughout my veterinary career, I worked at a horse-riding camp, a small animal general practice hospital, the USDA, and even spent two summers with the Columbus Zoo! I am specifically interested in areas including anesthesia, feline medicine, reproductive medicine, pain management, and dentistry.
Currently, I live with my boyfriend and orange tabby cat. In my free time, I like cooking, finding new places to eat, going to breweries, and spending time with my family. I’m also a total true crime junkie, and even rode horses for the Ohio State equestrian team!
Dr. Janelle Starr

After graduation, I returned home to Arizona. Currently, my veterinary interests include surgery, internal medicine, and preventive medicine.
I live with my husband and two dogs, Fitz and John. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dogs, spending quality time with my family, watching movies, dancing, and doing outdoor activities. I am excited to have joined the AZPetVet team! As a veterinarian, I am eager to provide outstanding care for my patients and creating a long-lasting relationship with clients.
Dr. Stephanie Wolff
I grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago until I graduated high school and moved to Arizona. I received my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biology from Northern Arizona University and earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in 2020. I have worked in animal health for over 15 years, starting in 2003. During that time, I was a Certified Veterinary Technician, with most of my experience being in emergency medicine and research/laboratory animal medicine. My professional interests include feline medicine, emergency and critical care, research, and teaching. The best part of being a Veterinarian is that nothing is ever the same! No species, owner, or case is going to be identical.
At home, we have 3 cats: Athena, a 16-year-old Siamese, Riggs, a 13-year-old Siamese, and Squirrel (aka Booger), who’s all black and about a year old. In my free time I enjoy photography, camping, hiking, and exploring used bookstores. I’m a big Harry Potter fan and collect books from the series in different languages!
